This project focused on addressing real-world issues faced by the communities in Lobitos and Piedritas, with design challenges spanning areas such as the built environment, water, sanitation, and energy. Our group concentrated on the energy aspect, aiming to reduce reliance on non-renewable energy sources that have significant environmental and community impacts.
We developed a concept for an electric reel generator, designed to be simple, efficient, and user-friendly. The generator can be connected to equipment like stationary bikes, allowing users to generate renewable energy as they exercise. This solution provides a sustainable way to produce energy locally while promoting community health and environmental awareness.
